New Burley Winter, Ltd.

As mentioned in the book Burley Winter An Introduction, The  Swingle family now has possession of what remains of the Burley Winter Pottery company plant.  In an effort to preserve the heritage of this pottery, they have secured the Burley Winter trademark and established New Burley Winter, Ltd.  By using molds discovered in a third floor section of the building, they are reproducing a number of pottery items which are a melding of the original forms with new and different glazes.  These are always marked as "New Burley Winter" so as to preserve the value and uniqueness of the original Burley Winter product.  It is hoped this will induce a further appreciation of all that has gone before and yet look forward to the next century with future collectibles.
